The Bipartisan Congressional Skilled American Workforce Caucus — comprised of federal lawmakers — recently hosted a panel discussion to address manufacturing’s talent needs. The Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM), an OMA Connections Partner, was represented on the panel and shared ideas to enhance workforce development, including making apprenticeship programs easier for small and mid-size manufacturers to use. Meanwhile, an AEM report indicates the new federal infrastructure law will create roughly 500,000 new manufacturing jobs over the next three years, including more than 100,000 in the equipment manufacturing industry. 1/3/2022
