Ohio’s unemployment rate was 8.4% in September, an improvement from 8.9% in August and 11% in June. Ohio’s employment grew by 41,500 last month as manufacturing added 3,100 jobs. Compared to September 2019, there were 38,200 fewer manufacturing jobs due to losses in durable goods (-40,100).
