President-elect Donald Trump is reportedly encouraging venture capitalist and former presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy to take the appointment of the vacant Ohio Senate seat by Governor Mike DeWine.

Ramaswamy, who had previously withdrawn his name several months back, is rumored to be a frontrunner for the position, vacated by Vice President-elect JD Vance last week, along with Ohio Lt. Governor Jon Husted.

With the Presidential Inauguration only days away, it is expected that Ohio Governor Mike DeWine will announce his appointment any day now. 1/16/2024
