This week acting U.S. EPA Administrator and Ohio native Andrew Wheeler stopped in Zanesville to meet with local officials about the new Affordable Clean Energy (ACE) rule, which the Trump administration has proposed to replace the controversial Clean Power Plan set in motion under the Obama administration. According to Wheeler, under the ACE rule, U.S. EPA will set guidelines, but ultimate control over the rule’s implementation will be left to the individual states. As are other stakeholders, the OMA is reviewing the proposed rule to understand the impact it could have on the Ohio’s deregulated electric generation markets and individual impacts that the rule could have on manufacturers. 8/30/2018
