Growth in U.S. manufacturing slowed last month to an 11-month low, according to the Institute for Supply Management (ISM), a trade group of purchasing managers. Despite the slowdown, ISM’s index was still above the index’s growth-neutral mark for the 19th straight month. Meanwhile, the manufacturing outlook index published by OMA Connections Partner RSM remained solid in December, with increased orders and shipments despite ongoing labor and supply challenges. The firm says its index shows manufacturers are finding ways to work within the parameters of longer delivery times and rising prices. 1/4/2022
