Update: In December, OMAEG and OCC filed applications for rehearing urging the PUCO to reverse its decision to increase AEP’s Distribution Investment Rider (DIR) revenue caps by an additional $8.6 million. In its application for rehearing, OMAEG argued that the PUCO failed to set forth the rationale and record support for increasing the caps and failed to explain the necessary investments AEP needs to make in capital infrastructure or cite to any actual projects. This week, the PUCO denied OMAEG and OCC’s applications for rehearing. OMAEG is considering whether it should appeal this decision to the Court.
