Update: The PUCO granted the applications for rehearing filed by OMA Energy Group, the Office of the Ohio Consumers’ Counsel (OCC), and the Ohio Energy Group (OEG) for the purpose of allowing additional time to consider their arguments. OMA Energy Group argued against the PUCO’s decision permitting AEP to reach back to 2012 to recover higher carrying charges from customers, which violates the prohibition against retroactive ratemaking. The PUCO’s decision has resulted in significant increases to manufacturers.
