Update: Staff recommended that the PUCO deny Globe’s request for a reasonable arrangement. In support of its recommendation, Staff noted the following: that this was Globe’s fourth request for a reasonable arrangement; that Globe had not shown an improvement in its budgeting issues since the filing of its last reasonable arrangement; that the continuation of lower prices for Globe will result in higher prices for other customers; and that Globe failed to include any energy efficiency initiatives in its application. Altogether, the Staff found that the costs of the reasonable arrangement exceeded the benefits and thus concluded that the request was not in the public interest. The Staff’s recommendation reiterates the concerns previously expressed by OMA Energy Group. A hearing is set for September 8, 2016.
