Update: On November 22, 2013, Ohio Power Company and the Ohio Consumers’ Counsel filed applications for rehearing.  Ohio Power Company states that the Commission’s statement that Ohio Power Company expend the $20 million that it was ordered to expend in the 2009 SEET case is improper or requires clarification.  Ohio Power Company states that the expenditure of the $20 million does not go to the merits of the pending SEET proceeding.  The Ohio Consumer’s Counsel addressed the same issue, stating that the Commission should have ordered Ohio Power Company to use $20 million originally intended as an investment to offset prudently incurred storm costs that AEP Ohio seeks to recover in the storm damage recovery case.
