Update: This week, DP&L is going to file a motion to modify the procedural schedule in order to give parties more time to come to a settlement rather than litigating the case. Accordingly, DP&L proposes the following new dates, which are one month later than currently scheduled:
Motion to intervene | June 18, 2013 (no change) |
Deadline for filing objections | July 18, 2013 |
Intervenor testimony | August 30, 2013 |
Staff testimony | September 6, 2013 |
DP&L testimony | September 13, 2013 |
Hearing commences | September 26, 2013 |
It is unlikely that any party will object to DP&L’s motion, and, actually, several parties support DP&L’s motion to modify the procedural schedule. The PUCO will likely approve DP&L’s request.
Also, settlement discussions in the DP&L EE/PDR case are ongoing. DP&L has scheduled another settlement meeting for next Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at the PUCO. OMAEG counsel will participate in the meeting and advocate its position as outlined in the settlement proposal that was submitted to DP&L last week. OMAEG’s proposal focuses on PJM bidding, establishing a combined heat and power (“CHP”) pilot program, education and benchmark funding, and the creation of innovative manufacturing-specific efficiency programs.
