The OMAEG will file comments today regarding the current status of Ohio’s retail electric service market.  The OMAEG’s comments will address the need for enhancements to the certification process for competitive retail electric service (“CRES”) providers, customer awareness and education, and standardized billing and market transparency.  The PUCO’s questions are very broad and require a thorough market study in order to effectively determine any existing barriers to a fully functional electric service market.  Therefore, the OMAEG will respectfully request the right to amend these initial comments upon the completion of a thorough market study and analysis.
