Update: As part of its ongoing attempts to keep relevant evidence out of the record, FirstEnergy filed another response to bolster its incorrect argument that evidence concerning a signatory to the PPA settlement request, the Consumer Protection Association (CPA), should be stricken from the record. At the hearing, OMA Energy Group witness Dr. Ned Hill testified that the CPA is no longer in existence.  FirstEnergy has claimed that its proposal is supported by a diverse class of customers, but the cloud of uncertainty hanging over CPA casts doubt on the validity of that assertion.
