Update:  The hearing is ongoing at the PUCO and continues to run behind schedule. AEP’s direct case will be completed today when cross examination of AEP-Ohio’s last witness finishes. Next, the intervening parties will testify and be cross examined largely by AEP-Ohio. However, there are some intervenors who have recommended changes that are contrary to our interests that we will have to cross examine as well. There have not been any “Perry Mason” moments, but it is clear that AEP-Ohio’s case is weak at best. As each of the witnesses have taken substantially longer to cross examine than anticipated, the Attorney Examiners have made constant changes and updates to the witness schedule and have requested that parties be flexible. Most of the OMAEG witnesses are still scheduled for June 5, but now Mr. Walters and Mr. Johnson have been moved to June 7th to accommodate conflicts. We will continue to provide updates through the course of the hearing.
