Update: On November 20, 2012, the OMAEG filed its initial post hearing brief regarding FirstEnergy’s proposed EE/PDR Portfolio Plan for the period of 2013 through 2015. Similar to the testimony in this case of OMAEG consultant, John Seryak, the OMAEG took the position that FirstEnergy’s energy efficiency efforts are insufficient and cumbersome. Further, the OMAEG petitioned the PUCO to modify FirstEnergy’s Portfolio Plan by requiring the following: 1) implement a “track and tune” program and/or an operations and maintenance program; 2) increase the funding amount available to manufacturers for energy audits; 3) verify that audits be conducted by a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Ohio; 4) bid its energy efficiency resources into the PJM market; and 5) develop prescriptive measures for manufacturers. The OMAEG will file its reply brief on November 30, 2012. The PUCO will then review the record and issue a decision regarding FirstEnergy’s proposal.
