Update: The PUCO and AEP filed their respective merit briefs at the Supreme Court of Ohio, defending the PUCO’s decision authorizing AEP to establish a purchase power agreement (PPA) Rider and to collect costs associated with the OVEC generating plants. Responding to arguments raised by OMAEG and the Office of the Ohio Consumers’ Counsel (OCC), both the PUCO and AEP argued that the PPA rider was proper and permitted by Ohio’s electric security plan statute. OMAEG will have an opportunity to respond to the PUCO and AEP’s arguments.
