Update: The PUCO rescheduled the hearing to allow OMAEG, the Ohio Energy Group, and the Office of the Ohio Consumers’ Counsel (collectively, Opponents) to conduct discovery and file testimony in opposition to the stipulations reached between AEP and Staff. Opponents are exploring the exclusionary settlement process that AEP followed in negotiating the stipulations with Staff. Though Ohio Supreme Court precedent requires the inclusion of all customer classes in the settlement process, AEP never contacted OMAEG before the stipulations were filed. The hearing is now scheduled for October 7, 2016.
